How Your Shopify Product Data Works
Don’t worry, you don’t need to understand Shopify or CSV files for this.
All we need from you is your product information in one simple sheet, things like the product name, price, description, colours, sizes, stock, material and images.
If one product has multiple sizes, just add it again on the next row and change the size, SKU and stock. That’s it.
Once you send us the completed sheet, BBMh takes over from there.
We organise everything properly inside Shopify. So your product name goes into the title, your colours and sizes become selectable options, your stock becomes inventory, and your photos become the product gallery.
After that, Shopify passes the same information to your website.
So whatever you gave us in the sheet is what your customer finally sees : the product name, price, photos, colour options, sizes, material and whether the product is in stock.
So the only thing you really need to remember is:
Product Sheet → Shopify → Website
You fill the sheet once. We handle everything after that.

No need to change the columns or formatting. Just fill in whatever information you have and leave anything that doesn’t apply blank.
Column | Simple meaning |
|---|---|
Product Name | The name customers will see on the website. Example: Linen Co-ord Set — Sanjh. |
Description | A short explanation of the product, what it is, how it feels, key features, etc. |
Price | The final selling price of that product or option. |
Category | The main group the product belongs to. Example: Loungewear, Shirts, Dresses. |
Type | A more specific way to describe the product. Example: Co-ord Set, Shirt, Trousers. |
Material | What the product is made from. Example: Linen, Cotton, Satin. |
Colour | The colour of this particular product option. Example: Purple, Black, Beige. |
Size | The size available for this row. Example: M, L, XL. If there are multiple sizes, use a separate row for each size. |
SKU | A unique code used to identify one exact product option. Example: |
Stock Quantity | How many pieces of this exact colour and size are currently available. |
Image 1 | Your main product image, usually the first image customers see. |
Image 2 | Second product image, for example, the back view. |
Image 3 | Another angle or detail image. |
Image 4 | Additional product image if available. |
Image 5 | Additional product image if available. |
Notes | Anything extra BBMh should know about this product. |
